Give it all in 2024. Will you?

As I checked the package inventory, about 3500 pwrfuel energy bites were sold or consumed since pwrfuel was launched in mid-August to mid-November. I am proud of this milestone. However, I am facing many challenges and hoping to conquer them in 2024.

During the ideation stage, I was still determining if pwrfuel would have its product-market fit. There is only one way to find the answer - lanching pwrfuel.

Coincidently, the launch date was my birthday. I was not expecting that as the incubator would determine the date. I took it as a sign from the universe that it also likes pwrfuel. Working on pwrfuel on my birthday was the best gift. Three months later, 3500 hand-made (by me) pwrfuel energy bites were out in the market. I gave my best and gave it all to promote pwrfuel.

The heartfelt feedback shared by many of you about pwrfuel and its impact serves as a beacon of motivation. Your stories inspire me to continue crafting pwrfuel, striving to make a positive difference in your lives. Thank you for giving pwrfuel a shot and letting pwrfuel be alongside you, whether it's sports or professional endeavors.

Kids don’t lie

Today, Oct 1, I have a rigorous 2-hour and 30-minute run on my training calendar. As some of you might know, I was in D.C. at the Boulderfest 2023 to demo and sell pwrfuel yesterday. This trip was an important trip that validated my idea of pwrfuel

Pwrfuel manifests my vision to craft delectable, bite-sized energy bites using the finest, all-natural ingredients. In a world where the demands of training, competitions, and races can be unforgiving, our bodies deserve fuel that is not only nourishing but also tasty.

As I reflected on some moments at Boulderfest during my run today, the moment that came back to me vividly was when I met Harper and Piper, the young climbers and pwrfuel duo at our booth. They are probably 7-8 years old. As they stopped by our booth and sampled pwrfuel, I started sharing my story and my sports with them. They both loved Banana Peanut Butter - the strength energy bite. They stayed and hung out at our booth. What truly astonished me was their contagious energy and genuine endorsement of our product. I rewarded them with a few bites when their parents had to pick them up. It was heartwarming to witness their parents also purchasing pwrfuel bites.

As I continued my run, a simple thought crossed my mind: "Kids don't lie." I took immense pride in the fact that I've created something not only healthy but also appealing to children, even though that wasn't my initial goal when conceptualizing pwrfuel. This realization hit home – I must develop a product that is not just nutritious but also delicious, something that children will readily embrace.

My belief was further solidified when I remembered Grace, a young climber from a recent demo at the D.C. Bouldering Project, who shared a fondness for pwrfuel. And Josephine, Lindsay's niece, uses pwrfuel for her junior high school cross-country races. Her favorite is Cacao PB, the power energy bite.

Our mission will be to create something good and tasty that kids will also want to consume. Kids don't lie. If pwrfuel gets green light from kids, the most authentic audience that will provide instant feedback, pwrfuel is on the right track. 

My journey with pwrfuel has taken an unexpected but heartwarming turn, thanks to the genuine enthusiasm of children like Harper, Piper, Grace, and Josephine. It's a reminder that we're not just creating energy bites; we're crafting a wholesome and delightful experience that everyone, young and old, can savor.

Dragon Boat Dream Team: the Catch22 Crew Conquer the Waves with Style and Stamina!

Picture this: the bustling waters of NYC serve as the stage for a sport that's as epic as it is unexpected – dragon boat racing! Megan and Gary, two fierce competitors, are at the helm of Catch22, a dragon boat racing team like no other. It's a sport that seamlessly melds ancient Chinese traditions with the adrenaline-fueled world of modern-day competition. Who knew that a 2,500-year-old pastime would become a hot topic in the likes of Sports Illustrated, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times, captivating hearts and paddles across the globe?

In this thrilling aquatic showdown, paddlers like Megan and Gary blend grace, flexibility, and synchronicity with sheer strength, power, and endurance. Picture a sleek 40-foot boat cutting through the water with precision, fueled by the rhythm of a drummer on the bow and guided by a coxswain at the rear. Each stroke is a symphony of explosive energy, countered by a fluid return as the paddles glide through the air. These crews, weighing in at a whopping 800 pounds, propel themselves across distances of 250m, 500m, 1000m, and beyond – a breathtaking spectacle!

Fast forward to September 19, 2023 – it's a day etched in dragon boat history. Megan, Gary, and their spirited Catch22 teammates are gearing up for the Eastern Regional Dragon Boat Association showdown. Three categories – 200m, 500m, and a daring 2K – will put their mettle to the test. The clock strikes 7:30 am, and the race is on! The sun paints the NJ skyline as 24 teams embark on an epic quest for championship glory.

Catch22 dives into five races, including qualifiers for the 200m and 500m events. It's a fierce battle. The six fastest teams make it to the grand files of the 200m and 500s. then the top 50% of the 500s make it to the 2000m.

But a successful dragon boat crew isn't just about paddling prowess; it's about fueling the fire within. Megan and Gary have a secret weapon – pwrfuel energy bites! These bite-sized powerhouses, combined with PB&J sandwiches, tangerines, water and Gatorade, keep them charged up during the nail-biting ~1.5-hour breaks between races.

With dedication, sweat, and plenty of laughs this season, Catch22 transformed into a synchronized powerhouse. Their teamwork and hard work pay off big time, as they claim the throne in the 200m and 500m races and seize the overall championship.
